"If Winter is slumber, Spring is birth, and Summer is life, then Autumn is reflection."
It's been a while since I have written a legitimate blog entry. I apologize... haha, I know ya'll missed me.
The only excuse I can provide is that this summer has been event-full! In addition to managing HoopTherapy, I continued to work part time as an evaluation research assistant with CAL research and started a sales associate position with Flowerland Nursery.
I learned a lot this summer - and feel great pride in what I have accomplished. So many craft fairs and HoopParties! Hundreds of HoopTherapy hoops are out there spinning and bringing joy to people all over the Bay Area. It's been an honor and a pleasure to entertain at several birthday parties - memories that will last a lifetime. I am making a positive impact on the world - one hoop at a time!
Every Autumn I find myself reevaluating my life path. Last year this reevaluation led me to break up with my Ex and create HoopTherapy.
This Fall of 2011 I find myself overwhelmed by what I have chosen to take on. Reflecting on the past year, it feels like I went from 0 to overdrive! It's time to focus and simplify. And, since writing out my goals seems to help manifest them... I will share them here, for all of you to observe and keep me in check.
Here are my goals for the coming year:
- Acceptance of myself and generally - what is, is. what was, was. and what will be, will be.
- Apply to a Masters in Psychology Counseling program to start Fall 2012.
- Simplify my work situation and reduce my living expenses
- Revive and enliven my personal hoop practice.
- Expand my wholesale hoop market.
- Improve my website and Ecommerce - More collapsible hoops.
- Start teaching HoopTherapy classes - no more fear. it's time to do this!
- Bonus: Plan a month of travel and/or Esalen Work Study.
I also want to thank everyone that has supported my personal and professional growth over the last year. If you are reading this, thank you.
So much more to come! Time to ready myself for the holiday season. Check out my events tab to see where I will be in the coming months.
Cheers, Robyn
